The Best Damn Apple Pie Recipe
  • 6-8 apples
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • One can cinnamon rolls
  • One pack ready-made piecrust
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Using a rolling pin, sprinkle some flour on a flat surface and roll out cinnamon rolls to about ¼ in thick then press into greased pie pan. Be sure to press up the sides of the pan to ensure crust covers entire thing.
  3. Brush with an egg wash to help seal crust and set aside.
  4. Core, peel and slice apples thin. Place in large bowl toss with brown sugar, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside a few minutes to let natural juices of apples and dry ingredients combine.
  5. Pour your apples into a pie pan.
  6. Using the piecrust, sprinkle a little flour and unroll crust and slice into strips or pull out your favorite cookie cutter and have fun creating your beautiful top of this yummy apple pie. (We chose to do a little of both Lattice top with the strips and fall leaves courtesy of my mini cookie cutters to finish out the edges.)
  7. Brush top crust with remaining egg wash.
  8. Place in oven. I like to put a cookie sheet under my pan just in case the juices overflow and bake for 35 to 45 minutes at 350 with a tent of foil.
  9. Remove foil for additional 10 minutes or until top crust is nicely golden brown.
  10. Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
