Hey everyone! Bob here once again with a fall cocktail that is an absolute Thanksgiving banger. While cider served warm or over ice is an annual fall favorite, let’s raise the bar a bit with a gorgeous blanco tequila and a few simple extras to balance out the cinnamon spice.
In your cocktail shaker, muddle a couple of mint leaves with a slice of ginger, some lemon peel, and an ounce of agave nectar. Add four ounces of cider and two ounces of your favorite blanco tequila, fill it with ice and give it a good shake. Grab your rocks glass, fill it with ice, and strain over top.
I like to garnish with a sprig of mint and another slice of lemon peel. With a mostly spicy and smoky flavor profile from the cider, I find that the mint brings in a beautiful bright grassy note that really opens up the tequil a’s flavor on the palate.
Take a break from the same old pumpkin beers (looking at you, Sam Adams Octoberfest) and give this guy a shot for your Thanksgiving cocktail. Make sure you subscribe and drop a comment below to let us know what you changed or how you improved your version. A restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving to each one of you, and until next time, cheers!
