Best Of The Web | NYFW Pt. 1

bcbg_nyfw_fall_2015_rtw BCBG Max Azria– BCBG has always been one of my favorites. Style.com described it by having a “folksy, crafty vibe.” No matter the vibes I will tell you this- I want to be wearing these pieces right now. I mean that patchworker coat, poncho dress, and over-the-knee boots?! Husband and wife designer duo definitely proved that the over layered, chunky knits and poncho trend won’t be going anywhere. dvf_fall2015_rtw DvF– This collection was hit or miss for me. I really wanted to include it in the round up though because I felt Diane really pushed herself with this collection. As a fashion student this is one thing I look for, and I was pleasantly surprised by the change in silhouettes and choice of mainly bold primary colors. And that royal blue suit, perfection! tibi_fall_rtw_nyfw Tibi– I really loved the monochromatic, effortless styles presented in this collection. Tibi never seems to disappoint when it comes to wearability, and these separates are examples of exactly that. The color palette is equally as wearable, with comforting tones of neutrals with pops of pastels. charlotteronson_nyfw_fall_2015_rtw Charlotte Ronson– A name I had seen before while studying JC Penney’s but never really got into her runway shows… This one stood out to me due to its rich luxurious colors, textures, and sheerness. I love that sheer top and bralette combo! Style.com reviewed it saying her customers might be a little let down due to the lack of playful prints and silhouettes, but what about the newbies that discovered their keenness for Charlotte from this show? She’s definitely a designer I’m going to be watching during upcoming seasons! rebeccaminkoff_nyfw_fall_2015_rtw Rebecca Minkoff– Last but never least, Rebecca. We all know my love for her. I have to say though, my focus has usually been on her bags (like many of us) but this show really made me fall in love with her apparel too.  I mean that shearling jacket?! I loved the bohemian, 70’s, easy feel to the looks. The leather pants, fringe touches, boho blouses, and soft waved hair all spoke to the inner hippie in myself, and I’m sure many others.
